I'm Mayasir, founder of Pretty & Plush Beauty.
Creating this brand has been one of the most meaningful journeys of my life. It was born from a simple belief: every woman deserves to feel beautiful, confident, and cared for.
I come from a humble background in Memphis, Tennessee, where I first began to understand the beauty, strength, and resilience that shape who we are. Growing up, my love for Black beauty was sparked in the simplest, most meaningful ways—through playing with Black Barbie dolls. Those dolls represented something powerful to me: beauty that looked like me. Today, I’m proud to say I’m an avid collector of vintage Black Barbie dolls, and they continue to inspire my appreciation for representation, elegance, and timeless beauty.
Throughout my life, I've come to appreciate that beauty is about so much more than appearance. To me, beauty is an expression of confidence, self-respect, and the way we choose to care for ourselves, even in life's busiest or most challenging seasons. It's found in the quiet moments when we invest in ourselves, embrace our individuality, and step into the world with grace.
That philosophy is the heartbeat of Pretty & Plush Beauty.
As a woman, a wife, a mother, and an entrepreneur, I've always believed that the smallest details often leave the greatest impression. Whether it's the quality of a product, the care behind every customer interaction, or the experience of opening a thoughtfully prepared package, excellence isn't accidental. It's intentional.
Outside of building this brand, I find joy in the things that allow me to express creativity and care for myself and my home. I love cooking, staying active through fitness, painting, decorating my space, reading, and journaling. These hobbies ground me, inspire me, and remind me of the importance of balance, creativity, and self-care—values that are deeply woven into Pretty & Plush Beauty.

I believe character matters just as much as craftsmanship. I strive to lead this company with honesty, integrity, kindness, and genuine care for the women we serve. My goal has never been simply to sell beauty products. It's to create an experience that reflects the same level of quality and respect that I would expect for myself and the people I love.
